Wow. I wanted to laugh, but this was a little frightening. I think I know some people who'd actually be okay with stoning. But this is exactly the sort of thing I think of whenever people bring up tradition. Here's something else to ponder, though: traditions don't just suddenly appear. Traditions--good or bad--become traditions by repetition. And it seems to me like a lot of same-sex couples are getting married, or have been married for some time. Their marriages may not be legally recognized, but there are enough that I'd say they've started a tradition. So all that's needed now is for the law to catch up with the tradition so same-sex couples get the recognition and rights they deserve.
